The Royal Navy Commissioned Officers’ Sword by Ammo & Co stands as one of the most recognisable symbols of British military service — a mark of authority, honour, and naval tradition since the early 19th century. Each sword is handcrafted to UK MoD ceremonial specification, combining historic design with the precision and balance expected by serving officers of the Royal Navy and Commonwealth fleets.

The blade and tang are forged in one piece from steel, hardened and tempered to within 400–500 HV to achieve exceptional strength and resilience. The 795mm polished steel blade is complemented by a series of gold-plated brass fittings, including the guard, falldown, mullet, backpiece, and ferrule, each hot-stamped, cast, and hand-finished to ceremonial standard.

The grip features a wooden core covered in genuine fish skin, bound with three strands of gold-plated wire, delivering both comfort and enduring quality. The sword is housed in a 3mm real rawhide leather scabbard, hand-sewn and fitted with gold-plated brass mountings with twin carrying attachments. Officers of Flag Rank and above carry a version with ornate mounts, reflecting their elevated status within the Service.
