Ammo & Co Royal Air Force Officers’ Sword and Scabbard

The Royal Air Force Officers’ Sword by Ammo & Co is a symbol of honour, service, and distinction within the world’s oldest independent air force. Handcrafted to British MoD ceremonial specification, each sword combines refined design with engineering precision, representing over a century of military tradition and professionalism.

The blade and tang are forged in one piece from steel, hardened and tempered to within 400–500 HV for strength and flexibility. Available in 725mm (small) and 830mm (standard) blade lengths, the sword is balanced and polished to a mirror finish. The guard features an elegant nickel-plated cartouche bearing the RAF insignia, with matching backpiece, ferrule, and pommel, all polished and nickel-plated to ceremonial standard.

The grip is hand-finished with a fish-skin covering, wrapped in three strands of gold-plated grip wire for durability and authenticity. The 3mm rawhide leather scabbard is hand-sewn and fitted with gold-plated brass mountings, featuring twin carrying attachments. Officers of Air Flag Rank and above carry a version with ornate mounts, denoting senior command.
